It is hard to imagine that patchwork quilts could be so wondrously varied in design and coloring as they are here in Lancaster. While some traditional Amish designs are made to be reproductions of 18th and 19th Century quilts, most quilts are created with goal of being more lovely than what was made before. Consequently there are many differing and unique renditions of even the most traditional patchwork patterns.
Many of the quilts shown here are marked indicating that they are “available now” for shipment –we are usually able to ship quilts so marked no later than the next business day. Other quilts shown have been sold, but often we are able to find a very similar well-made quilt that can be shipped quickly. Alternatively we can arrange for a similar quilt to be custom made.

This quilt is beautifully hand quilted using 8 hand stitches by a local Amish woman. Signed by CJH, it’s designer. The back of the quilt is covered with a beautiful batik blue print of 100% cotton fabric shown on one of the photo shots. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch and the quilt has a back corner tag that documents the name of the quilt pattern, designer, fabric content and made in USA by our Amish friends. -

Classic Irish Chain! The various aqua and blue fabric selections are fantastic! Notice the pretty white tone on tone fabric used on the front of the quilt as well as on the back. Well made by Lancaster County, PA young Mennonite quilt designer Connie Lapp and hand quilted by a Mennonite friend. A size that can be used as a crib quilt, wall hanging or throw.

A Wedding Ring is a all-time favorite and this quilt is done in lovely pastel colors. The background is a tone on tone cream white cotton print. Was pieced and quilted by Amish women. This quilt is symmetric and may be used sideways on a king size bed.

Sharp! Wonderful collection of fabrics from this quilters bag of remnants. Remnants are oldies and current fabrics. Classic log cabin design well made by a local Mennonite woman. Nicely quilted and carefully pieced.

Wow! A great variation on the Compass Star design with a brilliant burst of color! So many starry details. Background has white on white star fabric. Compass stars accent the pillow top. Patchwork sashes on sides, with tiny stars stitched on the navy border. Very well made by local Amish woman in her home.
