It is hard to imagine that patchwork quilts could be so wondrously varied in design and coloring as they are here in Lancaster. While some traditional Amish designs are made to be reproductions of 18th and 19th Century quilts, most quilts are created with goal of being more lovely than what was made before. Consequently there are many differing and unique renditions of even the most traditional patchwork patterns.
Many of the quilts shown here are marked indicating that they are “available now” for shipment –we are usually able to ship quilts so marked no later than the next business day. Other quilts shown have been sold, but often we are able to find a very similar well-made quilt that can be shipped quickly. Alternatively we can arrange for a similar quilt to be custom made.

A striking example of the classic block design. Excellent piecing and lots of fine quilting. Note that the sash has initials all around — just like antique quilts that were made in quilting bees. The quilt top was made by an Amish woman living in northeastern Indiana and quilted by an Amish neighbor. Part of her ‘Quilts Remembered Collection’. Includes a sleeve for a hanging rod.

A classic log cabin quilt in lovely shades of blue. Perfect for a crib quilt or wall hanging. The fabrics blend together beautifully. None of the prints are overly floral with most being a leafy print. The back of the quilt is covered with the same dot fabric as used on the border. Well made by Pennsylvania Mennonite quilt maker, Connie Lapp, and delicately hand quilted by a Mennonite friend. This quilt is sure to be a treasured heirloom!

A wonderful variation on the classic Ocean Wave design with a great combination of bold and subdued fabrics. Note the care taken with the patchwork piecing and the fine abundant quilting. Made by an Amish woman from northeastern Indiana and quilted by an Amish neighbor. Initials of both women are quilted into the sash along with the year. The sash is light pink. Part of the “Quilts Remembered Collection”. Includes a sleeve for a hanging rod. This quilt would look great used as a wall hanging or an extra special crib quilt.

Wonderful take on the patchwork Christmas tree. We especially like the use of the triangular pieces and the superb fabric selections. The boughs are realistic dark mossy green. The golden star glistens and the tree looks as if it were freshly cut from a forest! Made by a local Amish woman. Includes a sleeve for a hanging rod. A wonderful quilt for your foyer.

Classic Irish Chain! Pretty rose pink fabric. The natural colored fabric has little dark flecks of cotton. The fabric on the back of the quilt is a lovely, coordinating rose and cream colored print.
