Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges on all 4 sides.  Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. The backing of this quilt is also 100% cotton and is a beautiful medium gray dotted print. Pattern design by Dolores Yoder.

    ‘Antique Roses’ is a two-color quilt. The roses are a vintage print on a red background, and I used a tan fabric on the “light side” pathway of the quilt.   All the roses, leaves and vines are  quilted in burgundy thread.  The back of the quilt is a traditional cream color muslin.   The length of the quilt can be folded up over the pillows,  and the roses are quilted across it,  as well as at the bottom border, finished with diagonal quilted lines.    The quilt  measures 96 inches wide and 106 inches long.   (the bottom border is folded up over the footboard to show the quilting).
