This quilt is a traditional Log Cabin quilt block done with a unique fussy cut centers. It is made entirely from popular designer Kaffe Fassett's line of fabrics - both top and backing of the quilt. The fabrics are 100% cotton but are softer than any other manufacturer of quilters cottons that we know of. We also enjoyed making matching pillow shams to work along with the log cabin patch quilt. This colorful quilt will go with a varied number of color schemes and is bright and creates a carefree look. The white pillow is not included but creates another look if you add more of your own pillows. A note about fussy cut -- each square for the center of each block was cut one at a time by centering a clear plexiglass template on the fabric to see through to the flower - thus centering the unique flower in the middle of each block. Gorgeous.

This is a brand new quilt arranged by C Jean Horst that is so exquisite with its hundreds of yards of hand quilting thread. It is exceptionally heavily hand quilted with feathers - large and small, and also a charming and beautiful heavily quilted border design. The cream background, even though it is a tiny tone on tone 100% quilter's cotton print, shows up all the stitches and designs so nicely. While being a traditional patchwork pattern, Jean has transformed it into an heirloom quality quilt due to the exceptional yardage of hand quilting displayed.

Wow! C Jean Horst has outdone herself with this quilt -- 36 different 100% cotton prints are used from beautiful blues!! This patchwork is made up of over 7569 postage stamp size pieces. Lovely and amazing. Made here in Lancaster by an Amish woman. This quilt is signed in pigma pen ink on an attached label on the back by C Jean Horst. All Jean's quilts are American made and have a documentation label sewn into the back corner with the name of the quilt, quilter's name, 100% fabric content and Made in USA.

Another new design by C Jean Horst! What a charming but beautiful quilt in dark, medium and light teal 100% cotton batik prints to make up the stacked blocks of this quilt. Here is a unique tumbling blocks that has 4 diamonds of dark fabrics, 4 diamonds of medium fabrics and 4 diamonds of light fabrics grouped together to make each finished block. A real interesting grouping of many batik fabrics are used to create each of the sides of the blocks. It was pieced by an Amish woman and quilted using 8 hand stitches per inch. A nicely arranged design. And if you would like your own colors, we can do a special order quilt if you give us 6 -7 months time to complete a special quilt just for you.

$1,395Bargello quilts have been a joy to arrange for years because the blending of fabrics. This quilt has 20 fabrics in one color group from light to dark making a stunning arrangement and show of color. This quilt pattern referred to as Bargello Argyle is beautifully designed by Eileen Wright in her book More Twist-and-Turn Bargello Quilts by Martingale. It is reminiscent of the sweaters that were hand knitted in years gone by. It is a perfectly symmetrical quilt that has great eye appeal. This hand quilted quilt is made with 100 % quilters quality cotton fabrics ranging from very light tans to almost gray blacks. Beautiful ! -

Note the unusual patchwork design and how cleverly Jean employs the fabrics to move from one color into the next. Excellent patchwork and fine quilting. This quilt would look fabulous if you turned back the pillow throw and stacked pillows on the head end because the quilt back is repeated in the fabric print that is in the top side. Fabric selections with quality backings of the same like print is a normal for Jean's quilts and sets them apart from all the others. Made here in Lancaster County by an Amish woman. A beautiful and fresh change for a log cabin quilt! Here C Jean Horst has used designer Kaffe Fassett's beautiful new floral 100% cottons to make a strikingly bright but simple log cabin, which is why she calls it Simplicity. She has made a common quilt very unique with her choice of designer fabrics. While each patch is alike, all blocks are working together beautifully to show off an awesome collection of cottons. The lovely part about this quilt is that there is a beautiful feather quilting design going through the lighter side of the patchwork design to create an intricate touch of hand quilting designs. She also has a documentation tag on the back corner which gives the name of the quilt, the maker, the location, the date, and the fabric content as well as a note "made in the USA."

A Fresh quilt from the book Simply Retro using classic blocks - the half square triangle. The concept of "retro" is pretty wonderful; it means "reminiscent of things past." Isn't that appropriate for quilting? Here C Jean Horst is using fresh, modern fabrics which makes a traditional block feel "new" again. This quilt called Fresh is my favorite pattern from the book Simply Retro with Camille Roskelley. It includes 2 pieced and hand quilted Pillow Shams as shown in the photographs. The feather quilted circles in the quilt accent well with the straight line quilting designs through the blocks making it a very homey and cozy quilt for a good looking bedroom. Fabrics are all 100% quality cotton and the hand quilting has 8 stitches per inch. More white pillows would be lovely!!

What a beautiful and unusual version of a Tumbling Blocks quilt pattern that has 6 star points around each of the 3- Dimensional looking blocks! Fantastic! It has been pieced by an Amish lady who just loves to do Tumbling Block pattern of all kinds on her treadle sewing machine. C Jean Horst has picked 100% quality quilters fabrics for the top and the backing. This is the first of it's kind to be offered here and Jean loves arranging fabrics for different quilt patterns. In fact, she has been making quilts for 20 years and still loves it!!
