Sharp traditional Classic Amish quilt design! The brightly colored star stands out brilliantly against the Williamsburg blue surrounding, and the quilting is in black so it really looks amazing. The sash is dark green, the border is navy with dark red corner squares. Note the extra stars on the pillow fold. Made with thin batting and all-cotton fabric to give look and feel of an antique quilt. Well made by local Amish woman in her home who quilted her initials in the bottom corner of the quilt. The back of the quilt is covered with a black 100% cotton solid fabric. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch.

She has made a common quilt very unique with her choice of designer fabrics. While each patch is alike, all blocks are working together beautifully to show off an awesome collection of cottons. The lovely part about this quilt is that there is a beautiful feather quilting design going through the lighter side of the patchwork design to create an intricate touch of hand quilting designs. She also has a documentation tag on the back corner which gives the name of the quilt, the maker, the location, the date, and the fabric content as well as a note “made in the USA.”
