An adorable set of Baby’s First Blocks using the tumbling block quilt  pattern.   We love this sweet crib quilt for your little one.  Beautiful soft pastel colors with white tops all stacked nicely in rows.  All fabrics are 100% cotton fabric and the hand quilting is very nice and close – 8 and 9 stitches per inch.  The border quilting is perfect and the peppermint colored striped binding sets it off as the perfect gift for the new little one.

The backing of the quilt is shown on the photo with the label — a white with small delicate flowers  of coordinating colors.   So perfect !!

  • A beautiful and fresh practical change for a log cabin quilt! Here Jean has used her batiks in teals, blues and paprikas to make a striking but simple log cabin. She has made a popular quilt pattern very unique with her choice of batiks. While each patch is different, all blocks are working together beautifully to show off an awesome collection of 100% quilter's cotton batiks. She also has a documentation tag on the back corner which gives the name of the quilt, the maker, the location, the date, and the fabric content as well as a note "made in the USA."
  • Extra special work! Bargello quilts, inspired originally by a traditional needlepoint stitch, are popular as a contemporary design. Instead of embroidery stitches, simple rectangular blocks of colored fabric, which appear to gradually shift in size and placement, imitate the needlework pattern. Varying widths of pieced blocks from a 1/4 inch sliver to a sturdy 2 inch block produce a gradual wave, sloping and shifting from left to right. By selecting mutely colored fabrics, C Jean Horst shifted the colors gently. Cascading lines of fine quilting further enhance the image. Beautifully pieced and quilted with 8 stitches per inch and every row quilted. A masterpiece! The backing is a beautiful batik that matches the binding ages. A sleeve is added so that it could be hung as shown. 100% Cotton fabrics. A great size for a wall attraction.
  • A beautiful classic. Subtle and sophisticated! Note the interesting collection of antique style soft peach, yellow, teal, green cotton prints selected for this quilt. Well quilted by Lancaster Amish woman and colored coordinate by C Jean Horst of Lancaster. Note the beautiful quilting in the background patches.
